Sick of stomping other humans in Planetary Annihilation? Now you can stomp your way across the galaxy instead, with Uber Entertainment announcing that "the first iteration" of their procedurally-generated single-player campaign has gone live.

The free update tasks players with "taking over a dynamic galaxy", and places you in control of a Commander with a limited tech tree that you can expand by battling across the various systems in the galaxy and collecting tech and perks.

"We designed Galactic War to be replayable, and for every playthrough to feel different," write Uber on their site. "We also want you to decide the scale and intensity: each of Galactic War's sizes change how many systems are in the galaxy and introduce different loadouts."
