An agile Geralt was shown jumping and vaulting through the open world of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt at Microsoft's E3 press conference. This type of movement is new to the series, and appeared to work well in allowing Geralt to pursue his prey: a wild griffin. As he chased the beast through No Mand's Land, Geralt used his Witcher sense--now with its prior black and white filter removed--to follow the griffin's trail of blood.
Along the way he encountered a group of deserters and took them down with melee combat and magic skills. We saw Geralt finish the last bandit with a brutal, gory execution move that sliced the enemy in two. We also caught a brief glimpse of the game's inventory system and deep potion crafting mechanic.
