PlayStation Now Coming to Sony TVs on June 30

Sony has announced that a first look of its game streaming service, PlayStation Now, will go live on some of its TVs beginning June 30.

On that date, every Sony 4K TV and some of its 1080p sets will have the ability to stream certain PlayStation 3 games. Using a Dualshock 3 cont roller, owners of those TVs can play some PS3 games without the console. This preliminary PS Now program is called the Private Pilot Service. Sony has not clarified how long the first look will last.

PS Now, which has been in closed beta for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 for a couple months, will soon get many more games including God of War: Ascension and Dead Space 3. Recently, Sony announced that ther e would be a number of different rental periods and prices for streamed games.

An open beta for PS4 launches on July 31, with open betas for the PS3 and Vita coming soon after.
