I bet you've never seen Pokemon like this before. Artist Gavin Mackey this week posted a batch of renders on Imgur of Pokemon you know and love depicted in a decidedly different way.
There are 39 images in all, showing off new versions of well-known characters like Pikachu, Charmander, and Voltorb, among many others. Some of the renders are stunningly beautiful, while others are the reason I probably will not sleep tonight.
As one Imgur user so astutely says, "[N]ow I understand why you got warned about the tall grass." Indeed. You can check out more of Mackey's work at his Deviantart page.
The next major Pokemon games are Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, remakes of the originals. They launch exclusively for 3DS this November.
