The original story is below.

Ahead of the 60-minute Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain event today at Gamescom, it has been revealed that PC versions of the Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain are in the works. The leak comes from the official Konami website, which says both games are coming to Steam.

The live-stream begins at 11 AM PDT / 2 PM PDT, which is now just minutes away. You can watch the entire presenta tion here. Check back later for more news from the event.

In March, Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima suggested that a PC announcement was on the way.

"PC, that's my original background. I originally created PC games," Kojima said at the time. "A long time ago I didn't want to rely on platforms to release games, so if people want it, I cannot make a formal announcement, but that is definitely something that I would like to do."

Predecessor Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots did not come to the PC, though the 2013 spin-off Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance did, albeit 11 months after the game was originally released on consoles.

Ground Zeroes is already available for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. The Phantom Pain is also confirmed for those platforms, though Konami has not announced a release date for the game yet.
