Creator of Minecraft Markus "Notch" Persson has taken the Ice Bucket Challenge, dumping a bucket of ice water on his head to raise awareness and donate money toward research to find a cure for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

After taking the challenge, the soaked participant usually challenges other people to do the same. Persson was challenged by Tesla Motors and SpaceX Chief Operating Officer Elon Musk, who himself was challenged by Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg. Persson, in turn, challenged Activision CEO Bobby Kotick, Microsoft's Head of Xbox Phil Spencer, and Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski, who's currently developing a new PC shooter code named Project Blue Streak.

Other notable people who've taken the Ice Bucket Challenge include Conan O'Brien, Bill Gates, Weird Al Yankovic, and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.
