You may recall that during E3, one of the standout hits – No Man's Sky – was potentially coming to the PC, but it wasn't guaranteed. Everyone who owned a PC and didn't own a PlayStation 4 desperately wanted it to come out on PC, but developer Hello Games weren't ready to promise something they weren't sure they could deliver.

That is no longer the case however, as the September 2014 issue of Edge makes clear – after much speculation and wishing from fans, No Man's Sky is confirmed to be a timed exclusive – coming to PCs some time after their exclusivity deal is up.

Along with an in depth feature into its infinite universe full of procedurally generated life forms and planets, the Edge issue also includes interviews with the Hello Games team – including its managing director Sean Murray, who explains the various benefits the developers have gained from making the PS4 their lead platform for No Man's Sky:

"Unlike most games, the actual hardware really affects what we can do in terms of the richness of the worlds and things like that… It isn't just adding a veneer of resolution, or extra antialiasing options. It has a real effect on what we can actually do in the universe."

It's a fantastic read if you're interested in No Man's Sky and the September issue of Edge is available now through Google Play, iTunes and Zinio.
