Ahead of June's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), PlayStation company Sony has filed two new trademark applications for unannounced games called Kill Strain and Entwined.
Sony filed its trademark applications with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) on April 14 for Entwine d and April 15 for Kill Strain. Both are listed as "computer game software."
According to public website records, Sony's North American branch registered www.killstrain.com in March 2014. Entwined.com, meanwhile, doe s not appear to be run or operated by Sony.
We have reached out to a Sony/PlayStation representative for comment and will update this post with anything we hear back. E3 2014 runs June 10-12, though Sony's briefing is expected to be held on Monday, June 9, ahead of the official start to the annual show.
Sony expects to release 100 games for the PlayStaton 4 in 2014, a point Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb jabbed at during PAX East earlier this month.
