More features being implemented to make up for it.

The release date for the next Star Wars: The Old Republic expansion has been pushed back by two months to allow for more polish and feature development. Early access for premium customers, originally scheduled for June 24, is now slotted in for August 19.
This additional development time allows BioWare to add Conquest Events, expanded Guild Flagship functionality, the ability to buff your guild members from orbit, transport entire groups instantly, a whole new "Tatooine Homestead" stronghold type, and new decoration slots in strongholds where you can 'place' vehicles, mounts, pets and even companion characters. This is of course on top of the original features announced in this trailer.
Because of the change, the various timeframes around subscriber dates and rewards have also changed — read all about those here.
