2K and Turtle Rock Studios have announced the release date for their upcoming multiplayer shooter, Evolve. The game will be released on October 21 this year for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Fans who pre-order the game at participating retailers will receive the Monster Expansion Pack, which features an additional skin that unlocks as soon as Evolve is released, as well an additional monster character post-launch.
Developed by Left 4 Dead creator Turtle Rock Studios, Evolve is powered by the CryEngine. It is a team-based game that has four players competing as hunters against a fifth player, the monster. The hunters view the game from a first-person perspective, while the monster sees the world in third-person. For more on Evolve, check out GameSpot's preview.
