PlayStation bosses Andrew House and Mark Cerny will give the keynote address at this summer's Develop gaming conference in Brighton, UK, event organizers announced today. Their talk is titled "20 Years of PlayStation 4, 40 Years of Console Games, and 100 Years to Come."
As part of the key note, the industry veterans will recall the origins of the PlayStation brand, speak about how the platform became a household name, and offer insight into where the system--and the industry itself--may be headed.
House is president and group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment, while Mark Cerny is lead system architect for the PS4. He's not actually a Sony employee, working on the PS4 only on a contract basis. Develop 2014 runs July 8-10 at the Hilton Metropole.
You won't have to wait until July, however, to hear about where the PlayStation brand may be headed in the future. Sony just recently announced the exact time and date for its annual E3 press conference: June 9 at 6 p.m. PDT.
