The first game from Swedish developer MachineGames, Wolfenstein: The New Order, was a hit--in the United Kingdom at least. The game is now the region's second-biggest release of 2014, only behind Respawn Entertainment's multiplayer first-person shooter Titanfall, regional sales tracking company GFK Chart-Track announced today.

Last week, Wolfenstein: The New Order made up a quarter of all games sold in the UK and accounted for 36 percent of all revenue. The game is also the first Wolfenstein title to reach the number one spot on GFK's all-format chart in the UK. Previously, the highest a Wolfenstein game had charted was the number two position, a mark achieved by 2009's Wolfenstein from Activision.

GFK Chart-Track does not release specifi c sales numbers, and this data does not include digital sales. Right now, Wolfenstein: The New Order is the second best-selling game on Steam, behind only Watch Dogs. Below are the top five best-selling games in the UK last week.

  1. Wolfenstein: The New Order
  2. Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition
  3. FIFA 14
  4. Titanfall
  5. 2014 FIFA W orld Cup Brazil
