Celebrating the art of not getting too close in this latest trailer.

In a relatively announcement-heavy month, being E3 season and all, it's nice to have actual games to play. And so it is with GRID Autosport, due out in a few weeks. To help stoke the fires, a rather lengthy press release and a new trailer has hit the internet, showcasing the game's Open Wheel discipline and a bunch of real-life racers talking about aerodynamics and other factors that may or may not be included (probably the latter).
"Open-Wheel race cars are masterpieces of racing engineering where contact can quickly lead to the end of a driver's race, so players must execute clean passes at high speed in order to win. Codemasters has consulted with drivers who have competed in Open-Wheel races to bring the experience of racing these cars alive authentically," the presser says. "GRID Autosport features a range of cars and series in the Open-Wheel category. Players will get to test their skills in stunning examples of automotive excellence, including the Dallara F312, Ariel Atom 3.5, Caparo T1, Dallara Indycar and many more. Open-Wheel events and championships in career mode and online are set on the game's beautifully recreated circuits, including Circuit Mont Tremblant, Indianapolis, Spa Francorchamps and many more."
I guess if you're like me, who doesn't have access to Project CARS, this could tide you over for a little while. But then there's always Asseto Corsa. And let's not forget the existing hardcore sim racers out there like iRacing.
GRID Autosport is going to have to do a lot to convince drivers to switch teams, you'd think. GRID Autosport is due out on June 24 in the US and June 27 in Europe, with no release date for Steam just yet.
Put the internet to work for you.
