Humble Bundle, best known for pay-what-you-want bundles of games, announced today that its Humble Store has raised $1 million for charity.

The Humble Store, a digital distribution platform like Steam or GOG.com, launched last November and has about 500 games available for purchase. 10 percent of all sales go directly to charity organizations. Humble Bundle donates to American Red Cross, Child's Play Charity, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, World Land Trust, and charity:water.

"One million dollars for charity is a big deal," John Graham, co-founder and COO of Humble Bundle, said in a press releas e. "In just six months, the Humble Store has grown from a mere humble experiment to something that gamers and game developers big and small want to be a part of."

The Humble Bundle organization also publishes monthly bundles such as the Humble Indie Bundle, and it releases collections every week called Humble Weekly Bundles.
