Kojima: Metal Gear Solid 5 Is 200x Bigger Than Ground Zeroes

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain's gameworld is a whopping 200 times larger than this year's Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, series creator Hideo Kojima said today.

During a special Konami Station video event today (translated by Kotaku), Kojima displayed a poster (above) that shows Ground Zeroes as the red blotch on the bottom right. The square it sits on represents the entire Metal Gea r Solid V worldmap.

Also during this event, Kojima showed off a brief gameplay demo for Metal Gear Solid V running on PlayStation 4. A Konami developer controlled Snake through a desert camp, stealthily moving around the area by hiding in his iconic box.

Kojima also revealed that Metal Gear Solid V's weather and time will move forward on their own, making it so you'll need to strat egically decide when it's the right time to attempt a mission and how to equip yourself for the elements.

Konami will give a gameplay demonstration of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain at E3 next week, Kojima says on Twitter. The Phantom Pain is a sequel to this year's Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, though there's no word on when it will be available.
