Rising Generals is a free to play strategy MMO from German strategy specialists InnoGames that runs across iOS, Android, and your browser. Playing a little like a modern combat variant of Risk (only one in which there are up to 40,000 players on a single map,) it is designed to be a faster-paced game than previous offerings from the studio such as Forge of Empires or Tribal Wars. Despite this attention to speed, the game is no less deep than the studios other titles, and has a strong focus on research and unit variety as players battle each other for dominance over the huge map.
Of note to strategy game fans is the fact that legendary game designer Bruce Shelley is o n board as a consultant for the project. Shelley is strategy game design royalty. He's the man responsible for Railroad Tycoon, Age of Empires, and he worked with Sid Meier on the original Civilization.
