Bloodborne, the upcoming PlayStation 4 "gothic" role-playing game from Demon's Souls and Dark Souls creator From Software, will be playable for the very first time next month during the Gamescom convention in Germany. The game's producer, Jun Yoshino, confirmed the news to Digital Spy.

"We're going to be there at all upcoming major game shows like Gamescom, where we'll have our first hands-on demo on pods on the showfloor," Yoshino said. "There we can gauge first hand the reaction to the game." Yoshino went on to say that From Software is "really working flat out" to have Bloodborne ready to launch in early 2015.

Originally leaked as "Project Beast," the g ame was officially announced as Bloodborne during Sony's E3 press conference in early June. It is a PS4-exclusive and is in development at From Software in association with Sony Japan Studio. Demon's Souls key designer Hidetaka Miyazaki is at the helm of Bloodborne, after he did not work on Dark Souls II, except in a supervisory role.

Gamesc om 2014 takes place August 13-17 in Cologne, Germany. Unlike E3, Gamescom is open to the public. You can buy tickets for the show right now. GameSpot will be in attendance at Gamescom, bringing you all the news as it happens.
