Sony has announced a new PlayStation 4 custom design for Japan, but it's not based on a game. Instead, this newly announced system is focused on Disney's hit animated musical, Frozen--the top-grossing animated movie of all time, with over $1 billion at the box office alone.
The "Frozen" PS4 includes a laser-engraving of the movie's heroes, Elsa and Anna, as well as some snowflakes. The special system launches July 16 for ¥42,980 yen (around $424). There is no word on if the console will ever be made available in the West.
Why would Sony launch this bundle in Japan? They didn't say, but it probably has something to do with the fact that Frozen was number one at the Japanese box office for sixteen straight weeks, only to be recently dethroned by another Disney movie, Maleficent.
