Update: Square Enix has confirmed the Final Fantasy XV demo will be released in march, packaged with the upcoming spin-off Final Fantasy Type-0.
Original story follows: It's been a while since we've heard anything about Final Fantasy XV, but Game Informer reports that a downloadable demo for the game is scheduled to hit next year, in March.
According to Game Informer's post, which has since been pulled, Square Enix has named the demo Episode Duscae. It will include "some op ening sections" of the game, although parts of it will be altered to suit the shortened format. GameSpot has reached out to Square Enix, who were unavailable for comment.
The original Game Informer article is visible in Google's cache, and some quick users took a screencap of the full page.
Players who pick up Final Fantasy Type-0 HD during its North American release in March next year will reportedly receive a voucher which allows them to download the demo for free. It will allegedly be available on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's recent interview with Final Fantasy director Hajime Tabata.
