Ryse: Son of Rome Hits PC In October, System Requirements Revealed - Report

Written By blogger on Thursday, September 4, 2014 | 4:52 AM

An updated Steam product page for the PC version of Ryse: Son of Rome reveals the game's purported release date and system requirements. The release date is October 10, according to the page. Officially, developer Crytek has said the game will be available sometime this fall.

As for the minimum and recommended PC requirements, you can see those below. Importantly, neither the release date nor the system requirements are officially confirmed. We'll update this story if we hear anything from Crytek.

Ryse: Son of Rome was released in November 2013 as an Xbox One launch title published by Microsoft. Official sales numbers for the game have not been announced, but Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli said earlier this year that the company is "not 100 percent hap py with Xbox One sales."

The PC version of Ryse: Son of Rome was announced in August. It will support 4K resolution and include every piece of add-on content released on Xbox One to date. This includes a long list of content like the Colosseum Pack, the Mars Chosen Pack, the Duel of Fates Pack, the Morituri Pack, the Ruins multiplayer map, Survival mode, and the Legionnaire's Trust sword that was initially released as part of the game's special edition.

Crytek will publish the digital version of Ryse: Son of Rome for PC, while Saints Row and Dead Island publisher Deep Silver is handling the physical version.

Ryse: Son of Rome is the second high-profile Xbox One launch title headed to PC. The other is Capcom's Dead Rising 3, which launches on PC tomorrow, September 5.
