Maya's design in Killer Instinct 2Amazonian queen Maya has been revealed as the latest character in the second season of Microsoft's free-to-play fighting game, Killer Instinct.
The trailer above shows Maya's look has undergone a redesign, replacing her skimpy outfit from Killer Instinct 2 with a more battle-ready outfit, complete with bronze gauntlets, greaves, and a chest-plate.
Her speedy moveset remains, and can be seen in the video above. Microsoft has also released new images of the character, shown below.
Killer Instinct shipped on the same day as the Xbox One launch, with Jago available to play for free. Players could unlock other characters and items by paying a fee.
Microsoft's plan is to continually update the game with new characters, and at E3 this year revealed that TJ Combo was the first character to be added in the second season of updates.
Killer Instinct developer Double Helix was acquired by Amazon earlier this year, casting doubt on continued support for the Xbox One fighter. Microsoft claimed the game would not be affected and said that the franchise, which it owns, would continue on.
