Electronic Arts has revealed the first gameplay video and some details of Madden NFL 15, and this year's entry in the football franchise is all about defense.
Yesterday, EA published the first screenshot from Madden 15, showing off Colin Kaepernick and all of his tattoos. Today, a gameplay trailer unveils what you can expect when it releases this August.
According to an accompanying press release, "The video, featuring Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly, underscores the key focus in this year's game, a commitment to improved defense."
The minute-long video shows little actual gameplay, but EA also posted some concrete details on its website. This year, EA Sports is focusing on defense, overhauling pass rushing and making significant changes to open-field tackling. There will also be "redesigned zone and man coverage logic."
In addition, Madden 15 will feature new presentation angles, with "six new gameplay cameras to toggle through pre snap on every play." As reported before, EA is also attempting to enhance pre-game, post-game, and halftime presentations.
Madden 15 will be released on August 26 in the U.S. and August 29 in Europe on Xbox One, Xbo x 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. We will be reporting on the game when it is presented at EA's E3 press conference, so keep an eye on GameSpot all of next week for news, videos, and impressions.
