Sony today announced a new marketing slogan for the PlayStation 4, heralding the platform as "where the greatest play." This follows the original "Greatness Awaits" campaign that Sony rolled out last year and continues to use in its promotional material.
"Now that over 7 million PS4s are in the hands of gamers, we want to show you our lasting dedication to bringing the best gaming experiences right to you," PlayStation brand marketing executive Guy Longworth said in a statement on the PlayStation Blog. "Because PlayStation really does have the greatest fans, and we believe PlayStation is where the greatest play."
The image you see above is Sony's banner at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the site of next week's Electronic Entertainment Expo, which runs June 10-12. During the show, Sony will reveal a "gaming-inspired" mural featuring "iconic" PlayStation characters. You'll be able to vote on which characters should appear on this mural by making a selection at GreatnessAwaits.com.
Sony will unveil the future of the PlayStation brand next week during E3, starting with the company's press conference on Monday, June 9 at 6 p.m. PDT. GameSpot will carry a livestream of the event, as well as developer interviews and analysis video features immediately following the presentation.
