Zach Braff's Video Games: The Movie Gets a Release Date

Video Games: The Movie, the upcoming feature-length film that chronicles the rise of the video game industry from producer Zach Braff (Scrubs,Garden State), will debut in theaters in the US and Canada on July 18. You can buy the movie through iTunes and other digital platforms starting July 15.

Directed by Jeremy Snead, Video Games: The Movie traces the tr ajectory of the video game industry, from its origins decades ago to the the billion-dollar industry it's become today. Its theatrical release is somewhat limited, so be sure to check out the list of participating theaters before you head out.

The movie is narrated by Lord of the Rings acto r Sean Astin and features interviews with industry veterans like Nolan Bushnell (Atari), Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear Solid), and Cliff Bleszinski (Gears of War), as well as celebrities like Alison Haislip, Chris Hardwick, and Wil Wheaton.
