Perhaps a different kind of port is in the works?

I've never been the world's biggest fan of Monster Hunter, but I can kind of understand it's Pokemon-like appeal for some. However, if you are one of those people, then I have some bad news. Yuri Arauj, part of Capcom's community management team, has confirmed that a recent photo of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate featuring the Wii U logo was a "misprint" and that a "proper message" will be released by the company soon to clear up the confusion.
"MH4U is still 3DS-only," Araujo told DualShockers, although the fact that the company is waiting to release a statement – rather than simply saying a Wii U port will never come – is intriguing. We'll keep our eyes out for that statement when it's released, and we'll update this post accordingly.
